What's New in France
We always love to add to our French wines, there are so many to choose from! New arrivals sure to please any French wine enthusiast: Acantalys Cotes du Rhone red blend, Domaine de Hauts Chassis Crozes-Hermitage Syrah, Laroque Pinot Noir and Le Pigeoulet Vaucluse Southern Rhone Blend.
If looking for a light, juicy and playful wine, the Laroque Pinot Noir will fit the bill at a very affordable $12.99. A very quaffable red, easy to pair with a light dinner like grilled chicken and vegetables vegetables, and flavorful enough to pair with roasted game fowl and butter, herbed potatoes.
Along the same easy-drinking lines, but with more refined tannins and an elegant violet aroma: the Pigeoulet Vaucluse Southern Rhone blend for $19.99. Grenache, Syrah, Carignan and Cinsault. Produced by the Brunier family of Vieux Telegraphe Chateauneuf-du-Pape, this is their day-to-day table wine. Pair it with whatever you'd imagine the Bruniers to have for dinner. Maybe a garlicky rack of lamb and game meats?
Another juicy Cotes du Rhone blend is the Acantalys: Grenache, Syrah, Carignan and Mourvedre, $10.99. Excellent with grilled meats and charcuterie, this affordable wine is easy to drink and perfect for fall get-togethers.
For a higher end French wine, you can fall in love with the Domaine de Hauts Chassis Crozes-Hermitage Syrah, $28.99. Save this one for cooler evenings with hearty Oriental-spiced stews and curries. It will definitely keep you warm with it's peppery notes and aromas of violets and baking spice.
